Whilst not a standalone service, SecureShaft™ forms part of our Desktop Mining Search Reports and is a unique part of our offering. This dynamic in-house mining data includes approximately 4000 mine shafts and workings which have been safely secured or treated, to varying degrees.
Drawing on information derived from a range of specialist third party contributors, SecureShaft™ also includes over 500 shafts capped by the Cornwall Mining Consultants team.
Each secured mining hazard has been appraised by our expert research team and classified according to the indicated security, based on the condition and treatment method.
This additional set of data allows us to provide a far more site-specific appraisal of the subsidence risk and, wherever possible, to clear properties without the need for expensive and intrusive investigation work, saving both time and money.
